ON a list of things to do before you die raving in a blizzard should feature
highly.
That's exactly what punters were able to experience at the excellent first
year of new festival TignesFest.
Set at venues around the cracking French resort of Tignes over a weekend last
month some of the freshest talent throughout Europe was on show.
Among the highlights were THE SHOES who carried off nicely a rock
performance interspersed with rap.
That's about when the snow started pelting down forcing organisers to cancel
the last few bands but not before PRIMARY 1 cracked open a set
fuelled with electro delights.

As the aftershow moved to The Melting Pot the legendary EDDY TEMPLE-MORRIS
got the crowd warmed up playing a storming set of his signature mash-up
remixes.
BBC Radio 1 darling KISSY SELL OUT then tore the place apart proving
why he is hot property and one to see at this summer's festivals.
The next day Scottish born NAOMI ROPER stole the show with her
indie-folk acoustic set.
Battling to sing due to her vocal chords having taken a beating the night
before she left the crowd begging for more.
TignesFest was a brilliant concept pulled off to perfection.
Bringing together fresh musical talent with the backdrop of the snow-covered
resort of Tignes this was a festival that it felt special to be apart of
from the start.
This event is one to watch and can only go from strength to strength in coming
years.

Bruce Willis - Bruce Willis Set To Star In Videogame Adaptation
Bruce Willis is in negotiations to star in game adaptation Kane & Lynch: Dead Men for Lionsgate films, reports claim.
If the Die Hard actor gives the deal his blessing, he will take the role of Kane, according to Variety.
The game tells of a Death Row escapee who is sprung from prison along with schizophrenic killer Lynch.
Hudson Hawk star Willis was first linked with the project in 2007, with Billy Bob Thornton predicted to take the part of Lynch. No mention of the latter has been made in the new announcement, with a co-star still being sought.
Directorial duties will be handed to Simon Crane, making his feature directorial debut, having served as assistant director on Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, X-Men 3 and Terminator 3.
Kyle Ward will be getting a script together, described by the Los Angeles Times as the "hottest" new writer in Hollywood in 2007.
IO Interactive, developers of Kane & Lynch, has had another of its games turned into a movie in recent years, with its Hitman series adapted last November, starring Deadwood's Timothy Olyphant.
Filming on the Kane & Lynch project should start before the end of 2008.

Former boyband singer Lee Ryan has been charged with an attack on a taxi driver, UK police have confirmed.
The 24-year-old ex-Blue star, who recently appeared in the ITV show 'Hell's Kitchen,' is accused of assaulting a cabbie following a minor traffic accident in Surrey on New Year's Eve last year.
He was charged with common assault after answering bail at Reigate Police Station.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said Ryan will appear at Redhill Magistrates' Court on 29 February.

Though they're best known in the music world as the award-winning ocular arm of sound recording cut-and-paste experts Coldcut, Hexstatic (previously Hex) has disordered depressed the barriers 'tween music, multimedia, and computers ever so since they created the low gear computer-generated pop video (Coldcut's Christmas Break) in 1990. Graphic design artists Robert Pepperell and Miles Visman formed Hex along with Coldcut's Matt Black and Jonathan More. While on the job on videos for artists including Kevin Saunderson, Queen Latifah, and Spiritualized, Hex programmed a video biz (High Banana) in 1991 and inaugurated a series of multimedia system CD-ROMs just one year later with Global Chaos CDTV, which united music, graphics, and picture games into one mathematical product. A series of successors (Escapism, Global Chaos, and Digital Love) preceded the passing of 1994's AntiStatic, some other CD-ROM at the same time released on CD and vinyl by Coldcut's NTone Records.
